This small library is for elementary age children attending San Marcos Baptist Academy. Our goal was to create a fun enviroment that children would want to be in, while also having it be calming and faciliate reading. To do this, we used fun colorful hand blown glass fixtures in the school’s pallete that uplight the space creating dynamism on the ceiling and well as suspended wall lights for posters and artwork. Strategic downlighting was used in between to even out the lighting at the work surface making is easy to learn and read.
