For the new Esports Lab at Franklin College, we utilized simple lighting to create a colorful futuristic enviroment. This lab is utilized for online gaming tournaments and the goal was to create an enviroment that created excitement on a budget. The main linear bar lights are independantly controled uplighting and downlighting, which can be used to provide functional white light during meetings and an emersive color experience during game time. Highly controled LED tape both embeded in the wall above the desks and wrapping around all the monitors showing real-time game play, add an additional level of dynamism.
